About the role


As our Merchandise division's new Head of Commercial Analysis, you will lead a high-performing team of Commercial Analysts who provide quality financial analysis and insight to support our wider merchandising function.  You’ll be in your element coaching, developing and engaging with your team, and building complex financial modelling.

 

Reporting to the Head of Merchandise – Commercial, you’ll play a key role in providing analysis, support and recommendations to aid our planning and commercial decision making. 

 

You and your team will:

 

  • Challenge assumptions and bring financial perspectives and disciplines into all levels of decision making 
  • Prepare and support commercial reviews of performance, reporting, templates, and management reporting to inform and assist with commercial conversations.  
  • Support for projects and process improvement across the Merchandise – Commercial team and the wider divisions.
     

About you

 

You may bring experience from your commercial finance background, but what we’re really looking for is someone with strong financial and analytical skills who can translate that can model data into valuable insights. 

 

Ideally, you’ll be:

 

  • A Chartered Accountant or equivalent, with a solid understanding of financial principles and business strategy
  • A proven leader with the capability to lead, inspire and motivate a high-performing team of accountants
  • Experienced in commercial and business partnering roles, backed up by a tertiary qualification  
  • Known for your strong analytical and problem-solving skills and have a talent for turning data into insights
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the business, and you’ll have no trouble establishing strong and effective business relationships
