About the role:

As a Food Safety Business Partner, you’ll champion a culture of food safety excellence across our member stores. Reporting to the Food Safety Manager – Retail, you’ll provide expert support on all aspects of our custom Food Control Plan, helping stores meet their obligations under the Food Act and other relevant legislation.

You’ll also help manage supplier onboarding, product recall processes and deliver in-store training. The team consists of three business partners providing an experienced, welcoming environment promoting collaboration and development at all times.

About you:

You’ll be a diligent communicator, comfortable coaching and guiding.  You’ll have a thorough understanding of the Food Act 2014, Food Regulations Act 2015 and Food Standards Code. Ideally you will also have:

  • Relevant bachelors level tertiary qualification e.g. Food Science , Food Safety.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships 
  • Strong time management, tasks identification , problem solving, leadership, planning and analysing skills
  • Fluid with the ability to flex and shift priorities when are where needed at any given time
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite – knowledge of the ‘SafeFoodPro’ software would be a bonus.
  • A desire to be part of a dynamic team who have a passion to add value.
