Evening Duty Manager

Lead, motivate, and make an impact in our busy supermarket.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Evening Duty Manager to join our management team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader who enjoys responsibility, thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, and wants to continue developing their management career.

Our focus is on delivering a wide range of quality products, presented to the highest standard, alongside outstanding customer service. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the evening team while overseeing the smooth operation of the entire supermarket.

Roster:

Five evenings per week, Sunday to Thursday.

About You

You will be a motivated, energetic, and well-organised individual who can confidently prioritise tasks and lead a team. Grocery supermarket experience is essential, and familiarity with SAP would be an advantage.

You will have:

  • Proven reliability and a solid work history
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent organisation and time-management abilities
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive, customer-focused attitude
  • Clean and professional presentation
  • Physical capability to perform lifting and manual tasks
  • The ability to perform well under pressure and within time constraints

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Forklift and/or Reach Truck experience
  • Experience with ESL shelf labelling systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake the Duty Manager role, overseeing the entire supermarket during evening trade
  • Lead, support, and motivate the evening team
  • Maintain excellent store presentation and merchandising standards
  • Assist across all departments as required
  • Ensure Health & Safety and Food Safety standards are met and maintained
  • Deliver outstanding customer service at all times

  • Liquor Managers Certificate – essential
