Data Analyst
About the role:
As a Data Analyst, you’ll play a key role in rolling out a new pricing and investment process. You’ll work hands-on with large datasets across thousands of product lines – extracting, validating, manipulating, loading, and reporting on data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
You’ll collaborate with Subject Matter Experts, Commercial Analysts, and Category Managers to keep everything running smoothly and maintain the integrity of data flowing through the system.
Key responsibilities include:
- Extract data and reports from SAP, validate against expected outcomes, and perform comparisons across large product sets.
- Manage the end-to-end process of exporting, manipulating, and re-loading data files into the new SAP pricing and investment function.
- Track, monitor, and safeguard data changes across pricing, promotional spend, and condition contracts.
- Maintain data accuracy and integrity across multiple sources, tables, and dependencies feeding into pricing.
This is a fixed term role for 6 months, and is Christchurch based.
About you:
You enjoy working with complex, high-volume data and have the discipline to keep things organised and accurate. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Experience in data analysis, data processing, reporting, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong skills in extracting, manipulating, and validating data—SAP experience preferred but not essential.
- Confidence working with large datasets and multiple data tables.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to update stakeholders and explain what the data is telling you.
- The ability to stay on top of multiple moving parts and ensure data integrity in a fast-paced environment.
