Chilled and Frozen Foods Manager

 

We have a rare opportunity to join the New World Durham Street leadership team as a Chilled and Frozen Foods Manager.

 

About us:

 

New World Durham Street is Christchurch’s next-level supermarket experience, offering a modern and open supermarket design, we are proudly locally owned and operated! We are looking for a dedicated and driven person with relevant experience to lead our high performing Chilled and Frozen departments.

 

You will be operating our Chilled and Frozen departments that are well known for presentation, range, speed to market and quickly reacting to trends and customer feedback. 

 

This role would ideally suit an existing Department Manager or Assistant Manager looking to take the next step in their career.  This role includes one weekend day, more detailed days and hours to be discussed at the interview stage.

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Organise and lead the daily operations of the chilled and frozen departments
  • Provide engaging leadership for all the chilled and frozen team members
  • Plan the department rosters
  • Ensure the shop is presented to a very high standard at all times
  • Utilise SAP to its fullest capabilities to ensure stock flows smoothly from storeroom to shelf 
  • Work collaboratively with our SAP Manager to ensure KPI’s are being achieved
  • Work with the Store Manager and Owners to achieve or exceed agreed financial KPI’s
  • Engage and build positive relationships with, suppliers, sales reps and merchandisers
  • Ensure your team is providing ‘next level’ customer service
  • Deliver speed to market with product launches and innovations
  • Drive our instore promotional activity
  • Create a positive environment for your team with opportunities for development & growth
