About the role:

As the Catering / Cafeteria Manager you’ll oversee all aspects of our catering and cafeteria services at the Hornby Distribution Centre. This includes two operational cafes providing ordered meals, cabinet food and a range of beverages to our Distribution Centre workforce.

You’ll have the ability to set the strategic direction for the catering service managing budgets, driving process improvements and inspiring the team to deliver excellence for our supply chain members.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and oversee the day to day operations of the two Hornby Distribution Centre Cafes’ and catering services.
  • Further develop existing clear operating model and food safety plans.
  • Lead and support supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Manage staff rosters, leave approvals and team development / coaching.
  • Oversee inventory control, cost management and revenue tracking.
  • Manage the operating budget, optimising costs and reducing waste.

About you:

You’ll be experienced hospitality professional and may have worked and managed large scale food service operations and know what it takes to run this type of environment successfully. Ideally you’ll also have:

 

  • Proven leadership experience, including managing a team
  • Strong understanding of food safety and compliance requirements
  • Budget management and cost control experience
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
