Cafe Assistant / Barista / Checkout Assistant

We are a large supermarket located in a competitive area looking for someone to join our vibrant supermarket team where your passion for customer service and coffee making can shine! We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative team member who is keen to work in both the cafe and the checkouts to create memorable experiences for our customers. In this exciting role, you will be the heart of our cafe, serving delicious coffee and preparing tasty food items as well as helping during the busy evenings in our checkout team. Key Responsibilities include:

- Delivering exceptional customer service 

- Maintain cleanliness and a positive attitude

- Ensure food safety standards are met

- Provide customers with a helpful and prompt service 

- To provide customers with great coffee and a great experience

- Scanning items accurately and packing groceries properly while maintaining excellent customer service. 

- Cleaning and collecting trolleys, ensuring our checkout area is clean and tidy 

The successful applicant must be:

- Reliable

- Work well within a team

- Have excellent communication skills 

- Have the ability to handle a busy atmosphere

- A high level of food preparation skills

- Prior Barista experience

The hours for the role are: 

Monday 4.00pm-8.00pm (Checkouts)

Friday 4.30pm-8.30pm (Checkouts)

Saturday 9.30am-3.30pm (Cafe)
