About the role
Multiple roles available in our growing team, reporting to the Head of Buying in our Merchandise team. You’ll be part of a high-performing and collaborative team, supporting each other to excel and drive outstanding results in this dynamic role.
In this role your main objective will be to successfully negotiate with vendors in line with company strategy to meet financial goals and build strong partnerships across Retail and non-Retail brands.
You will also find yourself working proactively across multiple teams including Merchandise – Commercial, Category & Promotions and Retail Brands and Operations to drive collective success at Foodies.
Key accountabilities:
- Use data-driven insights and financial parameters to guide negotiations
- Review vendor negotiations with the Category & Promotions team to refine strategies and improve outcomes
- Drive initiatives that enhance financial performance in non-trade procurement across Foodies
About you
Ideally, you’ll bring negotiation and influencing skills with previous experience in a buying or procurement role, but we are looking for someone with:
- Relevant tertiary qualification e.g. BCom
- Proven experience in larger size and scale organisations and a high level of commercial acumen
- A strong understanding of end-to-end financials within a buying process
- FMCG experience is preferred but not essential
