About the role:

As a Business Analyst you’ll help shape and deliver technology solutions that genuinely improve how Foodstuffs South Island operates. This role sits at the intersection of people, process and technology, translating FSSI needs into solutions that enhance user experience and deliver measurable outcomes.

You’ll lead conversations, guide stakeholders through change, mentor others through good practice and influence delivery teams to achieve the right outcomes.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engage with stakeholders and user groups to gather, clarify and analyse FSSI requirements
  • Lead workshops and discussions to uncover needs, challenges and opportunities for improvement
  • Analyse current and future state workflows, creating clear process maps and recommendations  aligned with best practices like ITIL 4 (Information Technology Infrastructure Library).
  • Develop high quality , functional and technical specifications that clearly define desired outcomes.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including test scenario development, coordination and issues resolution
  • Supporting the configuration and customization of ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow), working closely with developers and architects to ensure requirements are met.

About you:

You’ll be a confident, people focused Business Analyst who enjoys bringing clarity to complexity. You’re comfortable leading discussion influencing outcomes and supporting others.. Ideally you will also bring:

  • Strong ability to engage and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of the systems and software development lifecycle.
  • Technical knowledge of programming concepts, system design infrastructure and databases.
  • Proven ability to analyse business needs and translate them into effective technology solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Configuration Management Database (CMDB), etc.) and experience with relevant platforms like ServiceNow is highly valuable.
