Assistant Service Deli Manager - PAK'nSAVE Rolleston
About us:
Love food, leading people, and working in a fast‑paced environment? We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Service Deli Manager to help drive our Service Deli team. This is a hands‑on role where no two days are the same — you’ll be supporting the Deli Manager, keeping standards high, and stepping up to lead the team when needed.
This is a full-time position, working five days per week, including one weekend shift. Days and hours will be discussed during the interview process.
What the role involves:
- Assisting the Service Deli Manager with the daily operation of the department
- Leading and overseeing the team in the absence of the Service Deli Manager
- Preparing and presenting a range of fresh deli products to a high standard
- Supporting ordering, stock control, and waste management
- Training, guiding, and supporting team members to perform at their best
- Ensuring the Food Control Plan is followed at all times
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and compliance
- Delivering excellent customer service and handling customer enquiries
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a supermarket or food service environment is preferred
- Experience in leading or supervising a team is essential
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and compliance requirements
- Ability to step up and confidently run the department when needed
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A positive, reliable, and hands‑on leadership style
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Availability for one weekend shift
- Days and hours will be discussed at interview
