Are you looking for a hands on, busy and varied full-time position with opportunities to grow and learn? 

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Produce team in permanent position working 40 hours per week. 

The days and hours for this position are: 

Sunday to Thursday 6am-2:30pm

This is a full-time position as one of the key people in the Produce department, working alongside our Produce leadership team, you will help shape the department operations. There is a strong commitment to ongoing training and learning, including the potential to join the Foodstuffs leadership academy, a fantastic pathway to a bright future in leadership. This role offers a great store culture and full training from the Department Manager and Assistant Manager.

We have a fresh, inviting, beautifully presented Produce department located in the entrance to our fresh food courtyard that gets fantastic feedback year-round.

Your day to day:

• Looking after the operations of the Produce department on a Sunday
• Helping and assisting customers on the shop floor – making sure they have an amazing shopping experience with us!
• Unloading our Produce order from delivery trucks each morning – this is a very physical task!
• Filling produce neatly and efficiently while also checking the quality of the produce as you fill
• Presenting produce so it is accessible and looks great
• Cleaning 
• Assisting with stocktakes
• Adhering to all food safety and health and safety standards

What we need from you:

• Outstanding people skills – you will spend a lot of your time interacting with the Produce team and customers. 
• A great work ethic – hard work and hustle is a requirement for this role!
• A willingness and openness to learn new skills and processes
• The ability to work independently and self-manage
• The ability to work quickly and efficiently while managing your own workload – organisation and prioritisation skills are important here!
• Excellent customer service skills
• Flexibility to help from time to time with extra hours/shifts
• Good physical fitness for lifting and moving stock around
• Great presentation skills and attention to detail
