We are part of Foodstuffs South Island, our 100% kiwi-owned and operated cooperative that supports the brands that we all know and love - PAK’nSAVE, New World, Four Square, and On the Spot - as well as our Trents customers.

About the role:

Based at our Invercargill branch, this role plays a key part in maintaining accurate inventory control and supporting early‑morning operations across the warehouse and control room. You’ll contribute to inventory accuracy and availability by identifying stock issues, completing required checks, and investigating discrepancies, while adhering strictly to approved inventory controls, food safety, and H&S requirements. You’ll work closely with the Inventory Coordinator, following agreed controls and supporting inventory accuracy across the site.

You’ll also provide Control Room support (dispatch queries and delivery planning), acting as an early‑morning point of contact for operational issues, creating daily driver run plans using Microlise, and assisting with customer service in our Cash & Carry area as required. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with strong inventory knowledge, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Standard hours are 5:00am – 1:30pm, Monday to Friday. Training will require some flexibility around start and finish times.

About you:

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in a wholesale, food service, or warehouse environment

  • Highly accurate, detail‑focused, and well organised
  • Comfortable working early morning shifts and supporting day‑to‑day operations
  • Safety‑focused, reliable, and able to communicate clearly with a wide range of people
  • Competent with computers (SAP experience is an advantage)
