Full Time - Fixed Term
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Grocery Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave.
Working 45 hours per week, this pivotal leadership position is responsible for managing the store's Dry Goods departments, including Grocery, Liquor, Dairy, Frozen, and Online.
Leading a large team, you will be accountable for departmental performance, stock management, merchandising standards, customer satisfaction, and achieving sales and profitability targets. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact within a busy and successful supermarket operation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous supermarket or retail management experience
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on leading by example
- Strong planning, stock management, and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to drive performance while maintaining a positive team culture
- A commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
- A current forklift licence with F Endorsement, or a Full New Zealand Driver Licence with the ability to obtain the required endorsement.
