About the Role
As Checkout Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of our checkout department. You’ll lead a team of checkout operators, ensure smooth service delivery, and help create a positive experience for every customer who walks through our doors.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising and supporting checkout staff
- Managing rosters, training, and team development
- Overseeing the sale of liquor and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
- Maintaining high standards in Health & Safety and Food Safety
- Handling customer queries and resolving issues with professionalism
- Supporting wider store initiatives and contributing to a strong team culture
What You’ll Bring
- Previous leadership experience in retail or customer service
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to think on your feet and solve problems quickly
- High standard of personal presentation
- Confidence using computer systems and learning new tools
- A Liquor Manager’s Certificate is a bonus (or willingness to obtain one)
