About the Role

 

As Checkout Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of our checkout department. You’ll lead a team of checkout operators, ensure smooth service delivery, and help create a positive experience for every customer who walks through our doors.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Supervising and supporting checkout staff
  • Managing rosters, training, and team development
  • Overseeing the sale of liquor and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
  • Maintaining high standards in Health & Safety and Food Safety
  • Handling customer queries and resolving issues with professionalism
  • Supporting wider store initiatives and contributing to a strong team culture

 

What You’ll Bring

 

  • Previous leadership experience in retail or customer service
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to think on your feet and solve problems quickly
  • High standard of personal presentation
  • Confidence using computer systems and learning new tools
  • A Liquor Manager’s Certificate is a bonus (or willingness to obtain one)
