Full-time Butchery Manager

Alexandra New World is a proudly family-owned supermarket serving the Central Otago community. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Butchery Manager to lead our butchery department.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining butchery and management responsibilities. As Butchery Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the department.

Key Responsibilities

Managing stock, ordering and stocktakes
Maintaining hygiene, food safety, health and safety standards
Leading, training and rostering
Delivering excellent customer service and product advice
Creating displays, promotions and departmental specials
Monitoring production, quality, waste and profitability

About you

We are looking for someone who brings strong technical butchery skills and proven leadership experience.

Supervisory or management experience
Someone who brings strong technical butchery skills and proven leadership
Strong communication and leadership skills
Experience with stock management and ordering
