Butcher

Alexandra New World is a proudly family-owned supermarket serving the Central Otago community.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Butcher to join our dynamic Butchery Team. We would like a minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in a butchery environment.

You'll be joining a close-knit Butchery team of 10, made up of four qualified butchers alongside apprentices, knife hands, packers and students. It's a supportive environment where everyone pitches in, works closely together and takes pride in what they do.

We're happy to discuss hours, but days will be Tuesday-Saturday and the minimum hours are 40. Shifts start at 5.00am.

Key Tasks:

• Prepare cuts to retail specifications
• Ensure accurate presentation and labelling
• Monitor stock and assist with ordering
• Provide friendly, professional customer service
• Follow all Food Safety and Health & Safety standards
• Support packers and retail staff as needed
• Bring fresh ideas and innovation to the department
